Following an internet leak, Rockstar Games did not wait for the initially promised deadline and released the first official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI earlier. Indeed, after years of speculation, this is the official title of the new GTA game: Grand Theft Auto VI.

The action in GTA VI will unfold in the fictional American state of Leonida, which includes a familiar location for fans of the series: the city of Vice City. And in the above trailer, you can get acquainted with the first female protagonist in the history of the GTA series: Lucia.

Although the official press release is very sparing in terms of other details about GTA VI, we still learn that Rockstar Games is celebrating its 25 years of activity by reaching new sales milestones: GTA V has surpassed 190 million copies sold worldwide, while the Red Dead Redemption series has sold over 81 million copies.

According to the official announcement, Grand Theft Auto VI is set to be released in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
