Super Bomberman R 2 was released by Konami to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the series. Unfortunately, this is about the only positive aspect of the game. Super Bomberman R 2 is a mediocre product that had no business being on the market in its current state.


Super Bomberman R 2 includes a story in which the planet where the Bomberman brothers live is attacked by a new threat, once again placing the task of saving the world on their shoulders.


Super Bomberman R 2 is now available in versions for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam).



Positive Aspects

  • Multiplayer modes with ranking
  • Certain concepts from the Story mode

Negative Aspects

  • Long waiting times in Battle 64
  • Restricted community in online modes, very few players
  • Story mode doesn't really feel like a Bomberman "movie"
  • Poor and outdated graphics
  • Boring and pointless
