Looking for all WooHoo locations in The Sims 2? Like its successors, The Sims 2 has a fairly extensive list of WooHoo spots for adventurous Sims looking for a dalliance. Here are all WooHoo locations in The Sims 2 included in both the base game and subsequent expansions.

WooHoo spots in The Sims 2

There are a total of 11 WooHoo locations in The Sims 2, depending on which expansion packs you have installed. These are:

Beds The Sims 2 base game gameYou must have a double bed to get Sims to WooHoo. Click on the bed and choose the ‘Relax’ prompt. Then, click on your second Sim and choose the ‘Ask To Join’ prompt. Click on the bed again and select ‘WooHoo’. If both Sims are in your household you can have them both ‘Relax’ instead.
Hot tubs The Sims 2 base game Get in the Hot Tub and ask the other Sim to join you. The Sims will not WooHoo if they are not in private. You can click on other Sims and choose the ‘Shoo’ prompt to get rid of them if this happens.
Walk-in closets The Sims 2: Apartment Life expansion If both Sims are in your household you should be able to interact with the closet and select the relevant ‘WooHoo’ or ‘Try for Baby’ interaction. If they are a guest, click on them and select the ‘Call Over’ prompt to bring them to the closet. Then, select the closet and the ‘WooHoo’ option. You’ll only get the prompt if they are in a happy mood.
Saunas The Sims 2: Bon Voyage expansion Click on the sauna bench once both Sims are inside. You can use the ‘Ask To Join’ prompt to get the second Sim inside if they are not in your household. Saunas are featured in vacation neighborhoods but can also be bought from the ‘Buy’ menu.
Photobooths The Sims 2: Nightlife expansion Travel to a nightclub community lot and ‘Get In’ the booth. ‘Ask To Join’ your second Sim once inside and select the booth to bring up the WooHoo prompt.
Cars The Sims 2: Nightlife expansion Select the car and press the ‘Get In’ prompt. Cycle to the ‘Ask To Join’ prompt on your second Sim. Once both are inside the car, select the car and the ‘WooHoo’ option. Note: You need a driveway to place a car on your lot. Navigate to the ‘Build Mode’ menu (the saw icon in the bottom left of the screen). Next, select the ‘Garage’ option and put down a driveway.
Helicopters The Sims 2: Apartment Life expansion Helicopters operate the same way as cars but require a helicopter pad to be placed (found within the same ‘Garage’ menu). If you aren’t getting the option to WooHoo and your Sim’s needs are high it may be because a roof is in the way of the helicopter and needs to be deleted.
Hammocks The Sims 2: Bon Voyage expansion Have a Sim ‘Relax’ on a hammock. Then click on your second Sim and filter through the interactions until you see a ‘WooHoo’ option.
Tents The Sims 2: Bon Voyage expansion Click on the tent and choose the ‘Get In’ option. Click on the second Sim and choose the ‘Ask To Join’ prompt. Click on the tent again and choose the ‘WooHoo’ option.
Changing rooms The Sims 2: Open For Business expansion Visit a clothing store community lot. Have one Sim change their outfit by clicking on the changing room door and choosing the ‘Change into…’ option. Change control to your second Sim, click on the changing room door and select the ‘WooHoo’ option whilst the first Sim is still inside. You’ll need to do this quickly, so I recommend pausing the game. It doesn’t seem as though this WooHoo option works with guests, you’ll need to have both Sims in your household.
Elevators The Sims 2: Open For Business expansion Place an Elevator on your lot or visit one (found via the ‘Buy Mode’ menu under ‘Miscellaneous’, then ‘Elevators’.) Select the elevator and choose the ‘WooHoo’ option. It should appear if your Sim’s romantic interest is nearby and in the mood.

How to WooHoo in The Sims 2

Encouraging your Sims to WooHoo in The Sims 2 is not as easy as you may initially think, especially if you’re used to The Sims 4 system. Whilst it is possible to romance a Sim without being in an exclusive relationship or in the same household, in most cases you’ll need to select the ‘Ask to Join’ interaction to get your Sims aligned before commencing WooHoo. Here are a few systems and common issues to consider when tackling relationships in The Sims 2.

Friendship levels

Only Elders and Adult Sims can WooHoo and they must have at least 70% of their friendship bar filled with their love interest. When checking your friendship level with a Sim, navigate to the relationships panel (the symbol of two joined people to the right of the wants and fears section). Under the Sim’s profile icon, there will be two bars. The first bar shows your friendship level for the day, the bar below is much more important as it shows your overall friendship level based on historic interactions. Raise the lower bar to at least 70 before issuing any ‘Flirt’ commands.

Chemistry

It’s not enough to just be close with your love interest in The Sims 2, you must also flirt! If you have the Sims 2: Nightlife expansion installed, you’ll have access to a chemistry system. Sims that have a high chemistry with each other will naturally build up flirtation much faster, whereas Sims with a low chemistry will be more of a slow burn. You can check your Sim’s compatibility with others by asking probing questions such as their Zodiac signs or their ‘turn-ons’ and ‘turn-offs’. Certain Zodiac signs will gravitate towards each other and you’ll unlock more flirtatious interactions faster.
You can WooHoo as many Sims as you like but be warned – if you’re significant other catches you in the act they will gain the ‘Furious’ condition and your relationship meter will take a heavy loss.

Common issues

If your Sims are romantically involved and you’re not receiving the ‘WooHoo’ option, the most common cause is usually due to your Sims being in a bad mood. Pay particular attention to their energy and hygiene levels as Sims will usually forgo WooHoo if these are in a poor state. Look after your Sims and try again once everyone is happy.
